Diffie-Hellman key exchange protocol based on image registration

Abstract


Nowadays, with the development of the internet and the explosion of digital mediums (sounds, images, and videos) shared on the various communication networks, Cryptography is an effective way to protect digital assets, communications, the secret data and for maintain the confidentiality. Keys have an essential role in the security of cryptosystems and their distribution is an important primitive in cryptography.

In this paper, we present an alternative of Diffie-Hellman key exchange protocol with image registration system, which consists to concealing the key in a series of transformed images; the purpose of using image registration is to find the transformation between two or more images; these transformations become later a tool for recovering key by the receiver.
